The New York Rangers are evaluating the trade value of defenseman K’Andre Miller as a new trade proposal has emerged involving the St Louis Blues and forward Jordan Kyrou.
The trade would be a one-on-one deal that would see Miller head over to St Louis in exchange for Kyrou as both teams attempt to help their direct needs.
Kyrou would help the Rangers offense and add depth
New York would acquire Kyrou, who’s entering the third year of his eight-year, $65 million deal with the Blues. Kyrou could be a top-six forward for the Rangers and add some much-needed offense to the lineup.
The 27-year-old recorded 36 goals and 34 assists for 70 points in 82 games.

Holding a cap hit of $8.125 million would require the Rangers to move more salary to accommodate his contract which will run out in 2028-29.
There’s been a strong indication that the Rangers are willing to move from Rangers forward Chris Kreider which would help open their money and allow this kind of deal to happen.
Miller who is a restricted free agent with arbitration rights this year could be offered an offer sheet which would mean draft picks for the Rangers if they chose not to match their offers.
The Rangers are looking for players who will help them get back to the playoffs as the team had stumbled this year after being the President’s Trophy winners and went to the Eastern Conference finals in 2024.
Much work lies ahead for the Rangers and their offseason
In a recent episode of 32 thoughts podcast, sports that insider Elliotte Friedman had stated that the Rangers are looking at Miller’s trade value.
«It’s not a guarantee, but that they are testing the market on Miller,» NHL insider Elliotte Friedman said on 32 Thoughts. «They want to know what it is. We’ll see where it goes. But his name is definitely out there.» – Elliotte Friedman
With Miller’s potential trade, and other work that needs to be done including the situation with Chris Kreider, the future of Rangers star Artemi Panarin who is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2026, Rangers general manager Chris Drury
will be a busy executive.
