The Colorado Avalanche acquired forward Fabian Lysell from the Boston Bruins on June 27th, and today they signed him to a one-year deal. Lysell appeared in 57 games for the Providence Bruins last season, recording 42 points on 17 goals and 25 assists. He was a +13 with five game-winning goals. In one Calder Cup Playoff game, he was held pointless and was even in plus/minus.

The Bruins drafted Lysell 21st overall in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. He appeared in the World Juniors Championship twice for Team Sweden. In his first appearance in seven games, he had two goals and four assists; he was a plus-three. Lysell, in his second appearance, played in seven games but was held pointless and was a minus-one.
He spent four seasons at Providence, appearing in 219 games and totaling 163 points with 57 goals and 106 assists. He was a +19 with nine power-play goals and 14 game-winning goals. In 12 playoff games, he had three assists and was even in plus/minus. He also played in 12 games for Boston in 2024-25, scoring a goal and adding two assists. He was a minus-four with a power-play goal and a game-winning goal.
