The Boston Bruins are making even more changes to their front office. 

On Tuesday morning, the Bruins announced that Kevyn Adams has been hired as a Senior Advisor to the General Manager, Dennis Bonvie and Jeremy Rogalski have been named Assistant General Managers, and Alex Gimenez has been named Director of Hockey Operations, Collective Bargaining Agreement. 

Assistant General Manager Evan Gold will depart the organization, effective August 1, “to pursue other opportunities in the National Hockey League.”

“As we continue to build our staff, these changes recognize the hard work and growth of people within our organization while also adding experienced voices to our group,” said Don Sweeney in a statement. “I’m confident Kevyn, Dennis, Jeremy and Alex will each play an important role as we continue to improve our team both this upcoming season and beyond. I’d also like to thank Evan for his contributions over the past several seasons. He has been a valued member of our Hockey Operations Department, and we appreciate everything he has done for our organization. We wish Evan and his family all the best as he pursues his next opportunity in the National Hockey League.”

Kevyn Adams, a first-round pick of the Bruins in 1993, worked with the Buffalo Sabres organization from 2009-26. He most recently served as the general manager from 2020 until he was let go from his post on December 15, 2025. Before his time as general manager, he worked in the organization in various roles, spanning from development coach to senior vice president of business administration.

Elliotte Friedman previously reported that Adams was joining the front office at the draft. After the JJ Peterka trade, Sweeney labeled Adams as “a resource.”

Dennis Bonvie will assume the role of Assistant General Manager, Player Personnel within the organization. He previously served as the director of professional scouting, a role he assumed in 2022-23, and he joined the Bruins organization as a pro scout in 2015. Bonvie worked with the Chicago Blackhawks from 2009-15 and was part of three Stanley Cup-winning teams. 

Jeremy Rogalski has been named Assistant General Manager, Analytics and Strategy. The West Springfield native has been the Bruins’ Director of Hockey Analytics since 2017, and he joined the organization as an assistant to hockey administration in 2009 before becoming a video analyst in 2010. 

Alex Gimenez will assume a newly created role: Director of Hockey Operations, Collective Bargaining Agreement. 

Gimenez will be “responsible for contract negotiations, salary cap management, CBA compliance, and player acquisition strategy.” He previously worked for the Professional Women’s Hockey League, serving as Manager of Hockey Analytics and Strategic Projects. Before that, he spent over a decade working for the Boston Red Sox front office.

Evan Gold has been an Assistant General Manager since the beginning of the 2019-20 season, and he assumed the role of Providence Bruins general manager in March 2023. In his role, he helped oversee day-to-day hockey operations, as well as the salary cap, contract negotiations, and CBA compliance. 

Gold is not the only assistant general manager to depart Boston this summer. Jamie Langenbrunner left the organization in May “to pursue other opportunities in the National Hockey League.” Gold was a finalist for the Canucks’ job but lost out to Ryan Johnson. 

Ahead of the draft, Don Sweeney said the moves have nothing to do with the budget. He added that the group has been together for a long time, and “sometimes change is a positive thing for everybody.”
