The San Jose Sharks’ 2026-27 schedule is finally here! Their quest for the Stanley Cup Playoffs begins on Oct. 1 in the new 84-game season.

This season, the Sharks will have 11 back-to-back games, down from 16 last season. With no Olympic Break built into the schedule this season, games aren’t as compressed.

The NHL All-Star Game returns, to be hosted by the New York Islanders on Feb 5-6. The Sharks will host the Chicago Blackhawks on Jan. 30 as their last game before the All-Star Break. They will return on Feb. 10, again hosting Chicago.

The San Jose Sharks will have four of their first six games at home to start the season, but following that, they have a season-high six-game road trip. That trip starts against the Nashville Predators, then moves north through most of the Atlantic Division before finishing against the Boston Bruins on Oct. 24. That road trip begins on Oct. 15.

The Sharks will have two six-game road trips this season. The second one begins in March. 9, and finishes on Mar. 18.

The Sharks won’t face their biggest rivals, the Vegas Golden Knights, until November. It will be a fun first game against VGK, with a 1 p.m. start on Black Friday (Nov. 27). They will play three of their four games against VGK before the end of December. Team Teal visits T-Mobile Arena on Dec. 16 and then hosts them on Dec. 26. They will complete their season series on Mar. 9 in Las Vegas.

There is always a highlight matchup between the 1st and 2nd overall picks. This year, 2026 NHL Draft picks, Maple Leafs Gavin McKenna and San Jose Sharks Ivar Stenberg, project to make the NHL right away. The matchup between the top two picks in the draft is set to be on Oct. 19 in Toronto. Both players have signed their entry-level contracts. San Jose will host the Maple Leafs on Jan. 2.

To complete the season, the Sharks could face teams in the mix for playoff spots. They finish the year on Apr. 10, 2027, against the Anaheim Ducks at 1 p.m. They host the St. Louis Blues on Apr. 4, 2027, and the Minnesota Wild on Apr. 8, 2027.

Excitement for the 2026-27 NHL season is already through the roof. Macklin Celebrini will once again lead the charge for the Sharks, who, for the first time in a long time, have expectations of success.
