Michael Hage confirms he will sign with the Canadiens and rules out every other team

Michael Hage has just made things crystal clear. The Canadiens prospect has no interest whatsoever in signing with another team one day.
He confirmed that he is 100% committed to signing with the Montreal Canadiens, which is excellent news.
Many fans feared Hage could follow Adam Fox‘s path and sign with another organization in two years, but this very clear statement puts those concerns to rest.
Journalist Anthony Martineau asked him the question directly. He wanted to know what Hage would say to fans who are worried about his long-term future.
The answer left no room for interpretation.

It’s hard to be more reassuring than that.
A rare declaration of loyalty from a young prospect
Too often, young talents keep their options open and leave doubt hanging until the very last moment.
But that is clearly not the case with Michael Hage and the Montreal Canadiens.
Hage has chosen the opposite approach. He is publicly embracing his commitment to the organization that believed in him.
In a market as passionate as Montreal, hearing a prospect identify so strongly with the Canadiens jersey matters.
Now it remains to be seen whether Michael Hage will sign with the Montreal Canadiens before the start of next season (which still appears to be a slim possibility), or whether he will wait until the very end of the 2026-27 season to sign.
