The Vancouver Canucks will return to Penticton for their 2026 training camp, marking the third consecutive year the NHL club has opened its season at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
The camp is scheduled for Sept. 17 to 20. A detailed schedule, including on-ice session times, will be released at a later date.
Canucks co-president of hockey operations Henrik Sedin said the organization is looking forward to returning to Penticton, citing the South Okanagan Events Centre as a first-class facility and a strong destination for fans attending training camp activities.
Penticton Mayor Julius Bloomfield said hosting the Canucks reflects the city’s ongoing investment in its sports and event facilities while providing economic benefits for local businesses and giving residents an opportunity to experience NHL hockey close to home.
Dean Clarke, general manager of the South Okanagan Events Centre Complex and regional vice-president with Oak View Group, said the continued partnership between the Canucks, the City of Penticton and Oak View Group has helped make training camp a success and the organization looks forward to welcoming the team back this fall.
On-ice sessions will be open to the public and will include free fan activities at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
The Canucks have held training camps in communities throughout British Columbia since 1974, with Penticton serving as the club’s training camp home since 2024.
