The Minnesota Wild have been on FOX Sports North Bally Sports North FanDuel Sports Network since the team’s first season of existence, going all the way back to 2000.

While branding has changed, the channel fans have been flipping to for local TV broadcasts has been the same. But not next season. In 2026-27, the MN Wild will play games for the first time without an officially licensed TV broadcast partner.

Minnesota Wild launching their own broadcasting network

After negotiations with alternative opportunities, including a return to local “Over the Air”, moves to DAZN or Victory Sports (where the Lynx are streamed) fell through, the Minnesota Wild have decided to launch their own broadcast network, with the help of NHL productions.

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild today announced the organization will launch an exclusive multimedia television network that will debut this season. A team-owned and operated multimedia platform, Minnesota Wild broadcasts will be fully managed in-house in collaboration with NHL Productions, with the Wild organization overseeing all aspects of production, distribution, sales and marketing.

“We are extremely excited to launch our new multimedia television network,” said Minnesota Wild Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President Mitch Helgerson. “This move is all about our fans and ensuring they continue to have reliable, direct access to our games, just as they have in previous seasons. We look forward to sharing additional details in the coming weeks as we prepare for the season ahead.”

Minnesota Wild Press Release

The Wild aren’t the only NHL team launching its own TV/streaming network, now that FanDuel Sports RSNs have crumbled. Joining them are the Carolina Hurricanes, St. Louis Blues and Columbus Blue Jackets.

It’s clear that the Wild wanted to get this news out to fans, which makes sense, since the season is only a few months from starting.

Minnesota Wild getting broadcast gang back together

This is the same kind of model the Minnesota Twins have been using for the past two seasons.

The Twins’ platform is called Twins.TV, which is universal for all MLB teams broadcasting their own games through the league’s multimedia platform. It appears, at least for now, the the Wild are going with the “Minnesota Wild multimedia network”.

Just like the Twins, the Wild will keep the same broadcast talent then had with FanDuel SN, announcing Tuesday with a Mighty Ducks style video on social media, that Anthony LaPanta, Kevin Gorg, Wes Walz, Ryan Carter, Katie Storm, Alex Stalock and Lou Nanne.
