The Florida Panthers appear to be done for the summer.

See you in September, right?

Last week, the Panthers put their finishing touches on the offseason — signing defenseman Mikulas Hovorka to a one-year, two-way deal before avoiding arbitration with Akira Schmid with a two-year, $4 million contract.

Aside from bringing in some more depth for training camp by way of a tryout offers, the Panthers are set.

So, what’s on the horizon?

Not a whole lot.

And that is by design.

The Panthers have most of their team signed through the 2029-30 season.

This summer, the Panthers only had one key free agent in Sergei Bobrovsky.

Next year, the only free agents Bill Zito will have are Garnet Hathaway and Lars Eller — two players Florida acquired this offseason. Hathaway came to the Panthers in a trade with the Flyers, Eller signed as a free agent.

Cole Reinhardt, whose role on this year’s Florida team has yet to be determined, can also be a free agent next summer.

One of the big pieces of business next offseason will be a new contract for Brady Tkachuk who will be eligible for an extension as he enters the final year of his deal.

And that’s about it.
