According to a release from the Danbury Hat Tricks, hockey season may still be a little ways off, but the organization is already gearing up for what looks like a busy and exciting 2026-27 campaign.
The team’s regular season schedule is now official, and Hat Tricks fans will have plenty of opportunities to pack the Danbury Ice Arena. This season features 28 home games, along with two special exhibition matchups featuring members of the NYPD and FDNY. The home schedule is loaded with weekend hockey, including 16 Saturday games, 13 Friday night contests, and one Sunday afternoon matchup. Fans can also look forward to some familiar rivalries, with multiple meetings against Watertown, Binghamton, and Blue Ridge highlighting the slate.
If you’re planning on becoming a season ticket holder, now’s the time. The Hat Tricks have started processing season ticket packages, so fans interested in locking in their seats should reach out soon.
The team also has several offseason events on the calendar. On Tuesday, July 28, Hat Tricks fans can head to Rogers Park for the Danbury Westerners game. Wear your Hat Tricks jersey, and you’ll get into the baseball game for free.
If baseball at the park isn’t enough, the organization is also heading to Citi Field on Thursday, July 30, for the Mets and Marlins game. A charter bus will leave from the La Quinta in Danbury, but the team says only a handful of seats are still available.
Looking ahead to August, fans can stop by Charter Oak Brewing on August 12 for an evening that includes a Chuck-a-Puck contest, where one lucky winner will take home a Hat Tricks jersey.
Finally, aspiring players and curious fans alike can check out the Hat Tricks’ Free Agent Tryout Camp on August 14 and 15 at the Danbury Ice Arena. It’s open to the public and offers an early look at players hoping to earn a spot on this year’s roster.
