The Buffalo Sabres will open their 2026 preseason on the road on September 21 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Sabres’ preseason schedule will feature two home games and two road games.
The full preseason schedule is:
Monday, Sept. 21 at Pittsburgh – 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 22 vs. Columbus – 7 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 24 at Detroit – 7 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 26 vs. Pittsburgh – 3 p.m.
Ticket and broadcast information for the Sabres’ home games will be announced at a later date.
The Sabres will next look ahead to the NHL Draft, which takes place on June 26-27 at the KeyBank Center. The Sabres recently acquired the 20th overall pick in next week’s NHL draft from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for the 27th pick and defenseman Michael Kesselring.
The Sabres now hold picks no. 20, 124, 156 and 188 in this year’s draft, which will be held in Buffalo on June 26-27.
