Boston drafted Stecker in the third round of the 2026 PWHL draft with the No. 27 overall pick, following her four-year stint as a Nittany Lion and a career year in 2025.

Stecker was essential to the Nittany Lions’ Frozen Four berth last year, hitting career highs in assists, points, shots and plus/minus.

In addition to her offensive improvements, she was one of the biggest defensive anchors for the Nittany Lions not only last year, but all four years of her tenure, with more than over 80 career blocks.

Stecker showed promise and leadership across her Penn State career, and that will more than likely translate over into the pros.
