Rafaël Harvey-Pinard just made an interesting revelation.
He pulled back the curtain on the kind of captain Nick Suzuki truly is for the Montreal Canadiens.
And it came directly from someone who shared the locker room with Nick Suzuki.
RHP confirmed that Suzuki doesn’t fit the image of a loud captain who constantly raises his voice.
Suzuki represents a completely different style of leadership-more subtle, more calculated, but just as effective.
His strength lies in his actions rather than his words.
The captain earns respect through his relentless work ethic, both during games and in practice.

Harvey-Pinard did make one important clarification.
Suzuki isn’t silent either. He knows exactly when to speak to have the greatest possible impact in the locker room.
Because he doesn’t speak often, every time he does, the entire group pays attention.

Montreal has had its share of captains over the years, including Max Pacioretty, Brian Gionta, Shea Weber, and others.
But Nick Suzuki certainly appears to be building quite a legacy of his own, placing himself among the best captains in the modern history of the Montreal Canadiens.
