As the NBA slowly churns out the schedule for the upcoming season, the league on Tuesday revealed a multitude of matchups that will occur on premier nights of the calendar — including Christmas and Opening Week.
There will still be some familiar faces hitting the floor on Friday, Dec. 25, however, as Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers will face LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers, while Jalen Brunson and the defending champion New York Knicks will take on Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. Other Christmas matchups include Boston-Miami, Oklahoma City-Minnesota and Denver-Golden State.
The NBA unveiled those games in what it called a “sneak peek” at the 2026-27 schedule. The full schedule will be released Thursday afternoon, as the Mavericks still await their first official matchup on the new slate.
