ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – The Stanley Cup Finals are underway, and while the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers battle it out, there’s also some fun hockey happening in Rochester.
Peak Performance Hockey Camp currently has a replica Stanley Cup Trophy on hand, with all the exact details down to the inscriptions. Camp is underway at Graham Arena this month.
Organizers say the cup weighs 35 pounds, which might not be what you’d expect when you see pro hockey players lifting it up easily on the ice.
“For them to get up close and personal, to touch it, really see it, it’s pretty amazing for them,” Peak Performance Hockey Camp owner Bob Montrose said.
Camp is underway for the month of June, and Montrose said the replica Stanley Cup will be on display each week on Friday.
