Carolina Hurricanes tickets for Greensboro preseason game against Predators now on sale
GREENSBORO, N.C. —
The defending Stanley Cup Champion the Carolina Hurricanes will hit the ice in Greensboro for a preseason game against the Nashville Predators.
The game will be held at the First Horizon Coliseum on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m.
The preseason exhibition game will mark the Hurricanes’ first appearance in Greensboro since 1999. The Hurricanes originally called Greensboro home for its first two season while construction in Raleigh was being completed.
“We are thrilled the Carolina Hurricanes will begin the defense of their Stanley Cup championship with their first appearance in Greensboro in 27 years,” said Scott Johnson, Oak View Group general manager for First Horizon Coliseum. “Making this even more special is that the game will be played in the home of the Greensboro Gargoyles, the Hurricanes’ ECHL affiliate.”
The Hurricanes captured the Stanley Cup recently against the Vegas Golden Knights.
“Hockey has experienced tremendous growth throughout the South over the last three decades, and moments like this showcase just how far the game has come,” said Greensboro Gargoyles President Jon Forsberg.
