While most of the Philadelphia Sports headlines have revolved around the Eagles New Offense, Lebron James joining the 76ers, and the Phillies’ pursuit of a fifth straight playoff appearance, the biggest under the radar storyline is the Philly Sports Youth Movement.
The Eagles, Sixers, and Flyers have struck gold with multiple first round drafts along with high profile acquisitions over the last few years. These young players are expected to be the foundations of the future success in Philadelphia Sports:
*Since 2021, the Eagles drafted nine starters in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft
*Six of the Flyers top ten Points Leaders for the 2025-26 season were all 26 years old, and younger
*Six of the Top Ten Minutes Players for the 76ers last season were 25 years old and younger
Who Are The Best Pro Athletes 25 years old and younger in Philadelphia Sports?
While guys like Lane Johnson, Sean Couturier, and Zack Wheeler are on the “back nine” of their careers, there are plenty of young athletes for Philly Sports Fans to be excited about. I know any people are anticipating LeBron James Sixers’ debut, and seeing Quarterback Jalen Hurts perform in the Birds’ new offense, we want to celebrate the stars of the Youth Movement in the City of Brotherly Love.
In the process of compiling, and updating this list each year, we gave weight to the following criteria:
-Is this athlete one of the best in the league at their position?
-Honors, Awards’ Voting, and seasonal statistical leaderboards
-Value and Importance to their team
The Best Philly Athletes Age 25 or Younger
Philadelphia has some great young athletes right now, from All-Star Tyrese Maxey to two first-round draft picks on the Eagles Defensive Line (Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter). In honor of the Philly Sports Youth Movement, here is my ranking of the Top Ten Philadelphia Professional Athletes who are 25 years old or younger:
