WATCH: SVG GameDay, Episode 27 — Emily Garner

Every member of a game presentation crew brings something important to the table. From the hype team and stage managers to directors and vice presidents, the show can’t move forward without everyone pulling in the same direction. Within each organization, there’s room to rise through the ranks, and with the San Jose Sharks, that’s exactly the case for Manager of Game Presentation Emily Garner. After obtaining a part-time position with the Coca-Cola Tank Patrol — the in-game entertainment and promotions team for both the Sharks and the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda — in 2015, she’s cultivated a thorough résumé in professional hockey over the past decade.

On the latest episode of SVG GameDay, Garner explains how her and the team infuse flavors of the Bay Area into their productions at SAP Center, why honoring the career of franchise legend Patrick Marleau is one of her favorite memories of her time with the Sharks, how she’s grown from her early beginnings with the club, the lessons she’s learned during her time in the NHL and AHL, and much more.
