Rookie camp got underway for the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday, and now the headlining event of camp is about to take place. The Flyers rookies will face off against the New York Rangers rookies in a pair of rookie exhibition games on Saturday night at 7 p.m. and Sunday evening at 5 p.m.

The Flyers have several players on the rookie roster with NHL experience. Porter Martone leads the way, entering the NHL late in the 2025-26 season and having an immediate impact. Denver Barkey and Alex Bump were key players in the playoff run. Oliver Bonk and Jett Luchanko got limited NHL experience last season as well.

The Flyers also have their most recent first-round pick, Maksim Sokolovskii on the roster. This will be the first chance for fans to see the 6-foot-7 defenseman in an exhibition game.

Martone and Barkey are not expected to be in Saturday’s lineup, but are expected to play Sunday.
