The Florida Panthers are gearing up for the new season with a healthy roster, key lineup changes, and excitement from both players and head coach Paul Maurice.

“A whole bunch of teams got better over this summer, it’s on, the regular season is real,” Maurice said.

After a season plagued by injuries, the Panthers are notably healthier, including the return of captain Aleksander Barkov, who is ready to hit the ice.

“This camp that starts tomorrow I feel totally normal. There is no extra nervousness or anything like that which is great,” Barkov said.

The team has also seen some significant roster changes. Former Panther Jacob Markstrom has replaced Sergei Bobrovsky in net, and the Panthers now have two Tkachuk brothers, with Brady joining Matthew.

“I think just shocked when the trade happened. I never thought this would be possible and enjoying every second since,” Brady Tkachuk said.

“I’ll never forget the moment of him lifting that Cup and achieving [a] childhood dream, and I’m excited for the chance to do that,” he added.

As for potential lineups, Maurice joked about the possibility of pairing Matthew and Brady Tkachuk with Sam Bennett.

“If I put Matthew and Brady Tkachuk with Sam Bennett, that line would be in jail before the puck drops,” Maurice said.
