The Florida Panthers commemorated winning back-to-back Stanley Cup championships with their center ice design the past two seasons.
After missing the playoffs last season, the Panthers decided to go bold when it came to the team’s center ice logo at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise.
On Thursday, Florida unveiled its sharp new logo which goes away from the traditional shield design and instead incorporates the team’s panther head.
There are also stripes on the logo which appear to be a direct nod to the team’s leaked ‘pink lemonade’ Hometown Remix jersey.
Although the logo at center ice is in the team’s traditional colors, it is the same one the team has on those leaked jerseys.
The public will get a glance at the new ice on Sunday when the Panthers play host to the Carolina Hurricanes at 7 p.m. in the first exhibition game of the preseason.
No word yet on the pink jerseys.
