Washington CapitalsThe Capitals announced on Saturday that defenceman Justin Holl will be placed waivers for purpose of loan to the AHL’s Hershey Bears.
Holl signed a one-year, $900,000 contract with the Capitals as a free agent on July 1.
The 34-year-old primarily spent the 2025-26 season with the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins, where he had 14 points in 41 games before finishing the season in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues, where he appeared in nine games.
The Tonka Bay, Minn., native has skated in 405 career NHL games split between the Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings and Blues.
The Capitals also announced that forwards Tyler Kopff, Petr Sikora and Alex Sudzdalev as well as defenceman Jon McDonald have been recalled from Hershey.
