The San Jose Sharks wanted to create “a literal shark tank” at SAP Center and that’s exactly what they’re doing for the 2026-27 NHL season.
The pre-game intro included the illusion that sharks were swimming under the ice:
Sharks president Jonathan Becher said this past January the organization intended to lean more heavily into its moniker in order to create a stronger home-ice atmosphere.
Perhaps not coincidentally, San Jose opened the year with back-to-back overtime victories at home.
