(ABC 6 News) — Hockey fans across Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa will have a new way to watch Minnesota Wild hockey this season.

ABC 6 and Start TV 6.2 are proud to announce they will air select Minnesota Wild games during the 2026-27 NHL season, bringing free over-the-air Wild hockey to viewers throughout the region.

As part of the Minnesota Wild’s expanded over-the-air television package, fans will be able to watch a slate of regular season games on ABC 6 and Start TV 6.2, making it easier than ever to follow the State of Hockey’s favorite team without a subscription service.

“We’re excited to bring Minnesota Wild hockey directly to our viewers,” said Rhonda LaVelle, Vice President & General Manager. “Wild fans are passionate throughout Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa, and we’re thrilled to provide free access to some of the season’s biggest matchups.”

Games scheduled to air on ABC 6 and Start TV 6.2 include matchups against the San Jose Sharks, Nashville Predators, Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks, St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars and Calgary Flames. Broadcast assignments will vary between ABC 6 and Start TV 6.2 throughout the season.
