The San Jose Sharks had another practice today in St. Louis, and one thing is clear, Ivar Stenberg could be getting a big boost in the lineup.

Per SJHN, Stenberg appears to have taken the spot on the Sharks top power-play that was left vacant by the injured Macklin Celebrini.

Sharks PP1 per Sheng Peng:

QB: Cagnoni
Left-flank: Stenberg
Bumper: Chernyshov
Right-flank: Smith
Net-front: Wennberg

Will Smith has flipped to his strong-side on the top unit. Stenberg played on the left on the second unit and told reporters that’s where he’s most comfortable. With three NHL games under his belt, putting the 2026 NHL Draft No. 2 overall pick in the right spots to succeed are a must.

Stenberg’s comfort on the left wing was evident for his first NHL point, a power-play assist to Tyler Toffoli at the back post.

Stenberg remained on a line with Wennberg per SJHN. Kiefer Sherwood is on the right. That spot was previously held by Collin Graf. Smith remained as the San Jose Sharks 1C at practice.

The Sharks take on the St. Louis Blues at 5 p.m. PT on Thursday.
