(Tampa Bay, FL) — The Minnesota Wild fell down early and never recovered as they dropped a 3-2 decision to the Lightning on Thursday night in Tampa. The Lightning scored twice in :36 seconds early into the hockey game to put the Wild in 2-0 deficit, and while they did get goals from Quinn Hughes and Blake Coleman in the second, John Carlson’s second of the hockey game was enough to ice the win as the Wild drop the first two games of their three-game road trip. Jesper Wallstedt suffered the loss on 32 saves but his goals against average is still 2.00 and his save percentage is .926 through four straight starts. The road trip concludes on Saturday night in Florida with a 5 P-M game against the Panthers.
