“I think it’s great,” said Canadiens coach Martin St. Louis. “We’re very lucky to have Geoff Molson as an owner. He’s an excellent person. It was the players’ choice. I had nothing to do with that decision, and it wasn’t influenced by Geoff, but it shows how much we appreciate him. I like it.”
The Canadiens donned the outfits continuing with the tradition of NHL teams showing up wearing themed getups for special outdoor games like the Heritage Classic, Winter Classic and Stadium Series.
The back of the coveralls showed off the word “Heritage” written in script.
