New Jersey Devils News & Notes
The Devils had a back-to-back starting on Tuesday as they beat the Stars 5-1 in Connor Hellebuyck’s debut. He stopped 17 of the 18 shots he faced. Nico Hischier added two goals.
The second half of the back-to-back went the other way. Colorado scored four times in the third period to beat New Jersey 5-2 on Wednesday, ending a four-game winning streak. It was also the first time this season the Devils were outshot in a game, a reversal after they controlled shot totals through much of October. Avalanche defenseman Josh Manson left the game with a lower-body injury and is expected to miss time.
Vegas Golden Knights News & Notes
Friday’s meeting with the Devils is the club’s annual Nevada Day matinee at T-Mobile Arena, and the team has announced celebration details tied to the holiday. Off the ice, the Golden Knights provided a first look at their Hometown Remix jersey, which features a color that caught observers by surprise. The NHL and Fanatics have set a league-wide launch of November 2 at 9 a.m. CT, with the Vegas sweater debuting Monday and limited stock available at The Arsenal.
