He’s spent all five seasons of his NHL career with the team that drafted him fourth overall in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. In 183 games, he has 82 points on 39 goals and 43 assists. He is a +15 with nine power-play goals and seven game-winning goals.
Wood this season in 14 games for the Predators has a goal and two assists. He’s a minus-two with a power-play goal. He’s spent three seasons with the team that drafted him 15th overall in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. In 91 career NHL games, he has 34 points on 18 goals and 16 assists. He’s a minus-five with five power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, and a game-winning goal.
This is a surprising trade; we’ll have to stay tuned to all the rumors out there if either team is targeting something bigger.
