LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Forward Jack Eichel will represent America and the Golden Knights at the Winter Olympics next year.
USA Hockey announced that Eichel is one of six players added to the preliminary roster competing at the 2026 games in Milano Cortina.
Next year’s Olympic Games will be the first in which NHL players can compete since 2014.
This will be Eichel’s first time competing in the Olympics.

He skated with the United States in the 2025 4Nations Face-Off, collecting four assists in four games. He has also represented the U.S. in the IIHF World Championship and IIHF World Junior Championship.
Eichel has played with the Golden Knights since the 2021-22 season and has 100 goals and 153 assists during his career in Vegas.
The other five players joining him on the preliminary U.S. roster are Quinn Hughes, Charlie McAvoy, Auston Matthews, Brady Tkachuk and Matthew Tkachuk.
Fellow Golden Knights forward Jonas Rondjberg will join Eichel in Italy as a member of Team Denmark.
