LAS VEGAS — Vegas Golden Knights star Jack Eichel is set to represent the U.S. in the 2026 Winter Olympics, according to a news release Monday.
The Knights forward was named to the men’s hockey team, set to compete in the Winter Olympic Games from Milano Cortina, Italy, in February 2026. According to the news release, Eichel is one of the first six Americans added to the roster, marking his first time playing at the Olympics.
The North Chelmsford, Massachusetts native became a Golden Knight in 2021 and was part of the team’s Stanley Cup championship-winning run in 2023. The 28-year-old played for the U.S. team at the 2025 4Nations Face-Off, scoring four points en route to a championship game in which the Americans fell to Canada in overtime.
The remainder of the U.S. team is expected to be announced by January, and the tournament is set to begin on Feb. 11, with the gold-medal contest scheduled for Feb. 22.
