The Florida Panthers took to the practice ice in Fort Lauderdale on Monday for an optional skate. The Cats are one win away from lifting the Stanley Cup for the second consecutive year. The stakes are as high as they’ve been during these playoffs, with the Oilers desperate to force a game seven in Edmonton this Friday.

“It’s no secret, Cup’s in the building,” said Matthew Tkachuk about the mindset heading into Game 6. “It’s gonna be the toughest test, biggest game. We’re just excited to be back home.”

Although the Panthers have the Oilers on the brink of elimination, they know very well that Connor McDavid lives for moments like these, and will be fighting to cement his legacy.

“It’s a team effort containing someone like that,” says Reinhart. “You know, when you talk about the best player in the world, he’s gonna produce at some point. You gotta be ready for it.”

The puck drops at 8 EST on Tuesday in Sunrise Florida.
