You watched the Florida Panthers lift the Stanley Cup after their 5-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 6 at Sunrise’s Amerant Bank Arena on Tuesday night. Now, here’s your chance to congratulate some of your favorite players in person. Meet them at events coming up over the next two weekends.
Reinhart at Raising Cane’s
Sam Reinhart served up four historic goals in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final to help lead the team to back-to-back championships. On Friday morning, he’s serving up four-piece chicken finger combos.
The hockey hero will be taking orders at Raising Cane’s, 5600 N. University Drive, Tamarac., during a 10-11 a.m. shift at the drive-thru and front counter.
The event will kick off with a press conference before the champ gets to work at the fast-food chicken joint, Raising Cane’s spokeswoman Shayna Kobuck said.
“During his championship shift, the Panthers standout will try his hand at buttering Cane’s Toast, salting premium crinkle-cut fries, pumping Cane’s Sauce and bagging Box Combos,” according to a Raising Cane’s statement.
Reinhart isn’t the first Florida Panthers player to take the Cane’s Sauce-covered reins behind the counter. Teammate Matthew Tkachuk made an appearance at the chain’s Pompano Beach location last year. Thousands of fans lined up early for hours in the heat before his arrival, but only a small number made it into the restaurant to get their orders from “Chucky,” as fans affectionately call him.
What can fans expect this time?
“We will try to fit as many people as we can to be served by Sam from the front counter,” Kobuck said.
However, this is not an official meet-and-greet session, she said, and autographs will not be provided.
“We recommend that fans get to the restaurant early to secure a place in line, as well as bringing plenty of water to drink,” Kobuck said. “Since parking will be tight, we recommend fans Uber to the restaurant.”
If you don’t make it inside, don’t worry, there’s a still a chance to see the Florida Panthers center.
“Sam is planning to come out to address the rest of the crowd before he leaves, so fans will get that moment with him even if they don’t make it inside the restaurant,” Kobuck said.

Meet the MVP & others
After scoring 15 goals during the playoffs, Florida Panthers center Sam Bennett was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy by the NHL on Tuesday night for being the series’ Most Valuable Player.
Meanwhile, left-winger Jonah Gadjovich became the face of the Stanley Cup Final — literally — after proudly showing off his bloody nose and tongue post-fight with Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse during Game 3. (By Game 4, his wide-eyed, tongue-out expression had been emblazoned on a T-shirt available for purchase in the Pantherland team store at the arena.)
You can meet both of them — as well as several other Florida Panthers — during upcoming signing events at Palm Beach Autographs, 10300 Forest Hill Blvd., inside The Mall at Wellington Green.
Gadjovich kicks off the signings this Saturday from noon to 2 p.m., with autographs priced at $40 per item and a
$20 inscription add-on (up to three words) also available. For $50, get a professional 8-by-10 printed posed photo with him.
Bennett’s session follows from 2:30 to 4 p.m. with two pricing levels for autographs: $80 for any flat item such as a puck or photo and $100 for items such as jerseys or equipment. (Pay $30 to add an inscription, up to three words, on each item.) Professional posed photos with the MVP are $90. You’ll also receive a printed 8-by-10 photo.

There’s another round of signings planned for next weekend as well — with defenseman Dmitry Kulikov and forward A.J. Greer scheduled for Saturday, June 28.
Greer is expected to be at the store from 10 a.m. to noon, with Kulikov following from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Autographs cost $40 per item ($20 inscription add-on with up to three words also available). A professional 8-by-10 printed posed photo costs $50.
For all players, fans can also purchase a $10 James Spence Authentication for each item.
Also on Saturday, June 28, Florida Panthers television play-by-play broadcaster Steve Goldstein and former player Bill Lindsay, who now serves as the team’s radio color commentator, will be on-site to sign autographs and take photos from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Purchase a combo ticket in advance for $40 to get an autograph and photo with both of them. During the event, only $20 single tickets for an autograph and photo with Goldstein or Lindsay will be available. All ticket sale proceeds will go to charities of their choice.
