The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs get underway on Saturday, with two divisional rivals set to lock horns as the St. Louis Blues visit the Winnipeg Jets.
No one could have predicted how great of a season the Jets have had. From the start of the season, the team was one of the best in the league, and while teams like the Washington Capitals tried to to push them off their the pedestal, the Jets managed to stay ahead of the pack, winning the franchise’s first President’s Trophy.

Winnipeg’s success has come from an exceptional and balanced scoring attack, as well as the play of the certified Vezina Trophy winner Connor Hellebuyck between the pipes.
At the same token, few could have expected the Blues to make it to the playoffs. At the beginning, the team was near the bottom of the Western Conference standings. However, an incredible 12-game win streak put St. Louis back in the picture, locking in a playoff spot for the first time in three years.
Like the Jets, the Blues have an exceptional goaltender in Jordan Binnington, who has been red-hot since helping Canada win gold at the 4 Nations Face-Off in January.
