UMass Lowell commit Austin Elliott was recognized by the Canadian Hockey League for his outstanding play during the 2024-25 season.

Elliott was chosen the second team goaltender.

Elliott guided the London Knights (OHL) to the CHL championship. The 21-year-old netminder lost just three of his 58 starts between the Knights (OHL) and Saskatoon Blades (WHL) across the regular season, playoffs and Memorial Cup – where he was awarded the Hap Emms Memorial Trophy as the tournament’s top goaltender.

A native of Strathmore, Alberta, Elliott will be one of three new goalies on UML’s 2025-26 roster.

He will compete for playing time with Samuel Ricard of Ste-Catherine, Quebec and the University of New Brunswick, and Nikola Goich of Homer Glen, Ill., and Shreveport of the North American Hockey League.

Media members who regularly cover the CHL and its member Leagues — the Western Hockey League (WHL), Ontario Hockey League (OHL), and Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) — participated in the voting process to determine this year’s CHL All-Star and All-Rookie teams.

Jackson Parsons of the Kitchener Rangers (OHL) was named the goaltender of the first team.
