The Toronto Maple Leafs are in for some bad news ahead of Game 6 in Ottawa as the NHL has announced the referees for tonight’s meeting with the Senators.

Fans on both sides are aware just how much tonight’s Game 6 means for both the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators. A Leafs win gets a large monkey off the back of the entire team, while a Sens win would breathe even more life into a rare potential Game 7 comeback series win.

Neither Toronto nor Ottawa did that well under Skilliter in the 2024-25 regular season. The Maple Leafs were 1-2-0, while the Senators went 1-2-1. On the flip side, Ottawa had a glowing 5-0-0 record under Charron, while the Leafs went 4-2-0.

Where the Leafs have something to worry about is the record of the home team in Skilliter and Charron’s slate of games this season. The home team win percentage under Skilliter was 57%, while the win percentage for the home team under Charron was 63%.
