The Ottawa Senators have announced their six-game preseason schedule, and only one game will be played at the Canadian Tire Centre.

The full National Hockey League regular season schedule will be released in mid-July.

The Senators will also play three road games and host two games at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City as part of their training camp. Games against the New Jersey Devils and Montreal Canadiens have already been announced.

Senators president and chief operating officer Cyril Leeder told season-ticket holders that 40 per cent of the viewers of the club’s regional broadcasts watch on the French-language all-sports station RDS and playing in Quebec City is an opportunity to grow the brand.

Ottawa will open the preseason schedule against the Toronto Maple Leafs at home on Sunday, Sept. 21. The second game of the series will be played on Monday, Sept. 22 at Scotiabank Arena.
