FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (CBS12) — The Florida Panthers championship parade on Sunday meant big business for the restaurants and bars along A1A in Fort Lauderdale.
Blake Stranz, the Stiles Senior Property Manager, tells CBS12 News one day of business during the parade can bring in revenue as high as a day of spring break.
However, he wants to remind fans the restaurants, bars and businesses, are here all the other 364 days out of the year for Panthers fans to enjoy dinner, drinks, and the beachfront.
“I just want to encourage people to go out and have a meal, instead of door dashing at home or Uber Eats at home,” Stranz added. “You don’t get the views. You don’t get the environment. You don’t get to interact with other people. Come on out and take advantage of what Fort Lauderdale has to offer.”
Stranz pointed out that many businesses in this area are still recovering from the pandemic as many people have changed their habits. He is thankful for the Panthers bringing out huge crowds to celebrate the championship and enjoy the waterfront.
