The Golden Knights and Reilly Smith have agreed to a one-year $2 million contract extension to keep the original Golden Knight in Vegas after acquiring him at the Trade Deadline.
Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet first reported the contract and details were passed along by Chris Johnston of The Athletic.
Smith’s new contract includes a full no-trade clause.
So, you know, if there’s an opportunity to stay here, that’d be great. I think I play well for this team. I think it’s probably been the best hockey that I’ve played through my career has been wearing this jersey. It’s a fun group to be a part of. It’s a fun place to call home. -Smith
