The 2025 NHL Draft begins Friday night, but the New Jersey Devils may not be very active on Day 1.
When the Devils acquired goaltender Jacob Markstrom in a trade with the Calgary Flames in June 2024, they sent their first-round pick along with defenseman Kevin Bahl to Calgary in the deal.
The Flames own the Devils’ No. 18 overall pick Friday night.
The Devils’ first pick will come in the second round at No. 50 overall. They have seven total picks in the draft.
