The Tampa Bay Lightning will face the Detroit Red Wings for an Atlantic Division matchup on Friday night. The Lightning are 2-1-0 against the Red Wings so far in 2024-25 and have outscored them 13-4.
The Bolts currently hold the second place spot, three points behind Toronto, with each team having four games left. The Lightning are looking to earn home ice advantage in the postseason with four games left on the schedule, which include; Detroit, Buffalo, Florida, and the Rangers.

Jon Cooper announced the team will be without Luke Glendening for the remainder of the season. They’re hopefully he will return for the playoffs.
On the Detroit side..
After dropping the first half of their back-to-back in Sunrise, the Red Wings will be looking to get a win on Friday night. Detroit is fighting to stay in Stanley Cup Playoff contention, currently eight points behind the Montreal Canadiens.
