The first round of the 2025 NHL Draft begins on June 27 and the New York Islanders are on the clock with the No. 1 overall pick.
The Islanders were awarded the top pick at the NHL’s draft lottery on May 6, jumping 10 spots from their No. 11 pre-draw ranking. The San Jose Sharks, Chicago Blackhawks and the Utah Mammoth will follow the Islanders before the Nashville Predators make their pick at No. 5 overall.

The Predators’ pick at No. 5 will be their highest selection in the draft since taking defenseman Seth Jones at No. 4 overall in 2013.

What time will the Nashville Predators make their picks in the 2025 NHL Draft?
Each team is given three minutes to make their selections. The Predators will likely make their first selection at No. 5 overall at 6:30 p.m. CT. The Predators have a total of three picks in the first round.
