LOS ANGELES. (WILX) – Mason West recently committed to Michigan State to play hockey collegiately with the Spartans, and on Friday night, West was selected in the first round by Chicago in the 2025 NHL Draft.

West is 6-6 and 220 pounds and is a standout football and hockey player. He’s a star quarterback for Edina High School, but he set his sights on playing collegiate hockey after this year.
