LOS ANGELES – Wisconsin Badgers defenseman Logan Hensler was selected 23rd overall by the Ottawa Senators in Friday’s opening round of the NHL Draft.

The sophomore is the ninth first-round pick for the Badgers in the last 10 NHL drafts and is the 19th first-round pick for Wisconsin all-time.
Hensler scored two goals and 12 points in 32 games as a freshman last season in Madison. He was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team for his play.
