ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The Flyers tapped into the U.S. pipeline for a third time Saturday afternoon by drafting Shane Vansaghi at No. 48 overall.

The pick was the Flyers’ third of four second-rounders in the 2025 NHL draft. The 6-foot-2 winger played with Flyers center Karsen Dorwart at Michigan State in 2024-25. The Flyers signed Dorwart as a college free agent in late March.

Earlier in the second round Saturday, the Flyers selected defenseman Carter Amico at No. 38 overall and Jack Murtagh at No. 40. Amico, Murtagh and Vansaghi all came up through the U.S. national team development program.
