“The Canadiens organization would like to acknowledge the tremendous contributions and great work of scout Christer Rockström, who will retire following the 2025 NHL Draft after a remarkable 41-season career.
Rockström joined the Canadiens in 2010-11 and served as European scout and then as Chief European scout from 2022 to 2024. He began his scouting career with the Detroit Red Wings from 1984 to 1990, then spent 19 seasons with the New York Rangers. Rockström helped the Rangers hoist the Stanley Cup in 1994 and also served as Director of Player Development from 2005 to 2010.
Thank you, Christer, and happy retirement!”
