LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Vegas Golden Knights made their first big move of the summer, trading Nicolas Hague to the Nashville Predators, confirmed by FOX5’s Vince Sapienza Sunday night.
The 26-year-old defenseman was part of the inaugural Vegas draft class in 2017, chosen in the second round.
He spent all six seasons with the Knights, playing 364 games in that span, and was a key member of the 2023 Stanley Cup championship team.
Hague signed a four-year extension with the Predators worth $22 million.
In return, the Knights acquired 28-year-old defenseman Jeremy Lauzon, who led the league in hits two seasons ago, along with 31-year-old forward Colton Sissons, who put up 21 points in 72 games last season.
NHL free agency begins Tuesday at 9 a.m.
