Colin Blackwell, a former St. John’s Prep hockey captain who helped the Dallas Stars reach the Western Conference final this past season, signed a two-year contract Tuesday to keep him in Texas for the next two seasons.
The 32-year-old played a bottom six/penalty killing role for the Stars in 2024-25, his first with the team. He had six goals and 11 assists for 17 points in 63 games while playing center and both wings. Blackwell also had an overtime goal in the first round of the playoffs against the Colorado Avalanche, the first postseason tally of his NHL career.
