Hibbing native and former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Bulldog Scott Perunovich will be lacing up his skates for the NHL’s newly named Utah Mammoth.

On Tuesday they signed the 26-year-old defenseman to a one-year, two-way deal worth $775,000 at the NHL level.

Perunovich split last season between the St. Louis Blues and New York Islanders, where he would combine for two goals and seven assists in 35 total games.

The 2020 Hobey Baker Award winner has spent three seasons in the NHL recording 32 total points off two goals and 30 assists.
