After a couple of tough losses to start the road trip, the Detroit Red Wings hope they can get back in the win column when they visit the Utah Hockey Club on Monday night.

This is the first time the Red Wings are visiting Salt Lake City, taking on the team formerly known as the Arizona Coyotes with the goal of grabbing some needed points.
It has not been a fruitful road trip for Detroit. After falling apart late last week against the Washington Capitals, the Wings were unable to keep up with the Vegas Golden Knights this past Saturday.
As a result, the team is scrambling to keep their playoff hopes alive. Detroit is still sixth in the Atlantic Division, but are now five points back of the last Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.
Utah is in a similar position, though they do not have the same expectations as Detroit. With back-to-back wins, UHC is sixth in the Central Division, four points back of the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.
