On Monday afternoon, MSG Networks announced a change to the New Jersey Devils’ broadcast team.
Longtime ESPN New York Radio personality Don La Greca has been named as the lead play-by-play announcer for MSG Networks’ television coverage of the Devils, replacing Bill Spaulding, who has held the position for the past three seasons.

Per MSG Networks’ press release, La Greca has been a host with ESPN New York Radio since its inception in 2001, and has also been calling Rangers games on the MSG Radio Network since 2005.
“To be the voice of the team that got me into hockey as a kid, a team that represents my home state with an incredible fan base, and to follow in the footsteps of some of the great play-by-play voices in the sport is an absolute dream come true,” said La Greca in the press release.  “And to work with the legend Ken Daneyko makes it that much sweeter. I can’t wait for the season to start.”
“We’re excited to welcome Don to our Devils broadcast team,” said Andrea Greenberg, President and CEO, MSG Networks. “Don’s top-notch play-by-play skills and his love for the Devils will endear him very quickly to Devils fans, many of whom know him from his presence as a cherished Tri-State area sports personality on ESPN New York Radio.”
Spaulding took to social media to share his own message to fans.
